1 killed, 2 suffer serious injuries in 3-car crash

When you're driving, you know that you need to keep your eyes on the road. If you look away for even a few seconds, it could be long enough to cause a collision. For instance, if you look down and approach an intersection too quickly, you might not notice a stop sign or oncoming traffic.

An accident caused by negligence, distractions or other factors can result in death and severe injuries. That's exactly what happened in this case, which took place recently in California.

One woman was killed in a horrible three-vehicle collision just outside Livingston when a 39-year-old woman driving a Chevy Impala heading north passed through a stop sign and hit a Mitsubishi Galant. The woman driving the Galant was pushed into oncoming traffic due to the force of the impact.

The Galant then collided with a Dodge Dakota head-on, resulting in the driver of the Galant passing away at the scene. Inside the Dakota, two people, a 52-year-old man and woman, suffered severe injuries. The woman had to be rushed to the hospital by ambulance, while the man was flown to a local hospital for emergency care. The Impala's driver, along with her passenger, were not injured in the collision.

In cases like this, it's important for those who survive to seek immediate medical care. There are things that need to be done, like reporting the incident to the police, insurance and Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), but those things can wait until you're medically stable. Your health is the most important factor. When you're ready, you can start your claim against the dangerous driver.
