Motorist captures road-rage fueled hit-and-run accident on camera

On Behalf of | Jun 23, 2017 | Uncategorized |

A fast-thinking motorist caught remarkable footage of what appears to have been a road-rage fueled collision between a motorcyclist and car driver on the Santa Clarita 14 Freeway on Wednesday, June 21, 2017. Two carpooling co-workers began filming right before 5:45 a.m. after they saw what appeared to be cat and mouse antics between the two in front of them.

The witnesses in this case were driving in the southbound direction as they approached the Newhall Avenue exit of the 14 Freeway when they saw a silver sedan cut sharply in front of the biker. In response to the motorist doing this, the motorcyclist got so close up on the sedan that he could kick it. The sedan’s driver then responded by swerving into the motorbike.

Although the motorcyclist was able to avoid losing control of his bike though all the antics, the motorist was not. By swerving in the direction of the motorcyclist, he lost control of his car.

He first struck the median before crashing into oncoming traffic. As for the Cadillac Escalade he struck, that car ended up flipping up on its roof as a result of the impact. Surprisingly, officers reported that the driver only suffered minor injuries as a result.

As for the motorcyclist, he made no attempt to stop when the crash occurred. He is facing potential hit-and-run charges if he is caught.

If you’ve been injured in an accident either caused by road rage or some other type of driver negligence, then you may be entitled to file an injury claim to recover medical costs, lost wages and other damages. A Los Angeles motorcycle accident attorney can advise you as to the options you may be eligible to pursue in your case.
